Sneak Peek
A first look inside The BEAR and PIERRE le Flair before it Launches Tomorrow!
Launch Day is Here (almost): NOVEMBER 12TH
It’s been planes, trains and automobiles (and an election) over the last few months and to say the distractions have been many might just be the understatement of the year. Well shake it off, channel your inner child and get back at it—life is too short to let a single day go by without laughing and doing something good! Want to help grow a new generation of smart and thoughtful kids? Perhaps start by encouraging them to explore this great big world we live in through a book—details below:)
And a super duper thank you to those who have purchased one of the 100 Limited and Numbered Edition hardcover books! I’ll be mailing those out soon. Forgot to get one? Order here. Prefer the Paperback version? Buy it on Amazon or Barnes & Noble and make sure to write a review!
My Favorite Image? It’s like when someone whispers to a parent, “Whose your favorite child?”—I could never pick just one;) But this book is special, just like France, and I do have a few favorites to share…like this one of the Bearplane arriving in France! When I see it, I wish I could see France for the first time all over again…and that’s exactly what I hope kids think when they read The BEAR and PIERRE le FLAIR. Dare to dream! |
![]() | What Does It Take to Make a Good Book Cover? The short answer is “a lot!” The image on the right shares about one-half of the steps. As an author, I have an image in my head from the moment I start writing the story, yet I want to give my talented illustrator a chance to also show my what pops in his. Then we get to work problem solving, until voila! |
Blue needs your help! Donate a book to a student!
Don’t have a child to give a book to? Look no further! As a young boy living in rural Arkansas, I read every book I could get my hands on. And the truth is, learning about places outside of my very own small town helped me dream of the adventures beyond those borders that I might take someday. That’s why I created the Bear in a Bow Tie series and now you can help me help other kids dream too. | Mrs. Thompson’s Class in ArkansasKim (Mrs. Thompson) has been my friend for over 40 years! She now teaches a Gifted & Talented class at Ward Central Elementary in the Cabot Public School District in Arkansas. And boy are they lucky to have her! She has 25 students and my hope is you’ll help me give every child a book to take home with them. Purchase any Bear in a Bow Tie book here, note its for the class and I’ll take care of the rest. |
