Introducing The BEAR and PIERRE le FLAIR!
I'm so excited I'm about to wet myself! Bienvenue en France!
You’re the first to know! A massive thank you for voting and the input on the title for the newest Bear in a Bow Tie story. It’s great to have such smart and experienced friends, and I read every single word of input. The BEAR and PIERRE le FLAIR was originally planned to be the very first book in the series so it feels kismet (Vive la France!) to finally get this story out in the world. Want to know more about my connection to France, scan to the bottom of this email.

Picking the Title Picking a title for the new book was harder than writing it! Here’s the short version: My favorite was Blue the Bear & Pierre le Flair, but in the end, it was a mouthful and cluttered the cover w/ text. And while The Bear and Pierre was a great choice, I worried about it being too generic so I extended it and added a subtitle for the first time (Ignore the kids at your own risk!) Besides, saying Pierre le Flair is just too much fun! |
What’s the Story About?
Join Blue and his lovable crew on a colorful adventure as they paint the night sky! Everything is perfect until the Bear in a Bow Tie spots a moon-shaped MYSTERY he can’t solve. His trusted mentor and forest librarian, the Travel Tree, gives him a leaf map and soon, Blue’s curious quest has him flying the Bearplane to France, where he meets Pierre le Flair, a delightful French Bulldog and baker extraordinaire. Together they explore the wonders of France, from delicious pastries to MAGICAL monuments. Will Pierre le Flair’s sweet treats help Blue solve his moon mystery? Find out in this exciting, fun-filled tale. BonE Appetit!
Be the 1st to Get It
I’m often asked what purchase outlet helps me the most when it comes to recouping the investment in creating the book? Yes, I’m lucky to have such a considerate group of friends! And while any and all purchases help, it’s the Limited Edition Signed and Numbered Hard Cover that is the most helpful for 2 reasons: (1) more passes thru to the author (less fees), and (2) its the version of the book as I intended it to be (highest quality materials, better colors, longer durability!). The 2nd best place is to purchase the paperback version directly from Amazon (on presale until Nov 12th).
A Great Gift! Tis the season! Get the Book & a Bear Bundle here. This includes the Limited Edition Signed Hard Cover Book with a 9” (sitting)/11” (standing) plush “Blue” with his honeycomb vest and bee buttons. While supplies last. Recommended for children +3 years old and older. |
Why France? It’s Personal.
Twenty five years ago I met the love of my life (trying not to tear up here as I type). When the Christmas holidays arrived, we were always faced with a decision (for reasons I won’t go into here): either be apart and spend the holidays with our respective families back home as we’d done prior to meeting, OR create our own tradition and be together. Our dream was to get to know Paris as well as our own home town, so we saved, traveled on a dime, and started a tradition of spending the holidays in France that continues to this day. It forever holds a very special place in our hearts. Here’s a little trip down memory lane:)

For JGS—who taught me that the greatest adventure is the one we share. May France always be our home-away-from-home, and bring us countless more memories and croissant crumbs.
