And the Winner is...

Not so quick.

You all are the best! Thanks for voting—almost one hundred of you participated. And while I had hoped for a clear winner, four names remain in contention. To help bring this to the epic conclusion that it so deserves (a hint of sarcasm), I’m sharing the artwork, aka the ‘pencil stages’, I’ve gone through with the Illustrator when trying to finalize the cover. Originally, he assumed Pierre le Flair was a person so I quickly reminded him that humans don’t exist in the Bear in a Bow Tie world, and from there, voila!, things improved. Hmmm, will this little bit of artwork influence your opinion on what the best title of the book should be? Only time, and your voting below, will tell.

Kids and grown-ups (sigh): Will they ever agree?

PS: Your comments were so insightful. I read every one, and please keep ‘em coming this round.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I only need a few to fill the title space on this cover so I hope you’ll vote once more now that you’ve seen the cover!

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…

Hiya from the Hudson Valley where we are drinking fresh apple cider and eating donuts made from the same magical stuff! JGS officially starts decorating with pumpkins and mums tomorrow—yes, I am very afraid of what that means. If you don’t hear from me, I’m buried beneath hundreds of them so please send help! Oh, and if you’ve never done a bit of leaf-peeping on the Hudson River, put it on your bucket list. HUH-MAZING!
